Early Childhood (Pre-K)

Pre-KMultisensory Educational and Therapeutic Early Childhood Services Pre-K

In an interactive nurturing environment, our early childhood classrooms offer learning opportunities that address the developmental level of every child by engaging them in activities that encourage social interactions with a hands-on approach.

Early intervention is critical

Offering an interdisciplinary model of care, therapeutic services are provided on an individual and small-group basis.

The Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) guide the Pre-K curriculum. Early identification of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs is critical when determining the type of support a child requires. The Pre-K program has a team of highly qualified, certified professionals who are dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and subsequent services that focus on each child’s strengths and emotional interests.

Goals

The Sargent Center works closely with local school districts and parents to develop Individual Education Programs that meet each student's specific needs, encourage communication, and provide methods to carry over learned strategies at home.

The Early Childhood program is known for its collaborative approach which challenges every child to achieve and reach their potential.
