Message from CEO

Sargent Rehabilitation Center has been in existence for over one hundred years. During that time, the Center has responded to humankind’s sociocultural evolution of renewal by reinventing itself over time to remain relevant within the business communities it operates. One constant throughout this experience uniquely positioning the Center has been acceptance of the practice to give of one’s self for the betterment of a greater good. It is the sense of giving in exchange for the advancement of the communal benefit of others that keeps the Center relevant in all times.

Today, Sargent Center operates primarily as a non-public day school for students with disabilities existing alongside an accompanying neuro-rehabilitation outpatient program and a Regional Resource Center. The Center’s schools and rehabilitation services include early childhood/preschool, elementary, middle and high school, a brain injury program, the Pontus step down program, a community transitional work experience program and school to adult services. The Regional Resource Center operates numerous grant funded services as well as offering professional development and technical assistance to schools, parents, families and the general public.

Sargent Center is a proud community partner boasting an impressive community affiliate connection with New England Institute of Technology, Trinity Repertoire, Sail to Prevail, New England Revolution Professional Soccer, WestEd, Compass IT, the Providence Bruins and Providence Sports & Entertainment, Shri Yoga, Whole Foods/Whole Kids, The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation, and Cerio Ambrosia Martial Arts.

I encourage professionals willing to challenge their expertise, parents looking for opportunities for their child beyond the public school, and community members willing to come together for the advancement of others, to join us at Sargent Center.

Make it your mission to make a difference in the life of another.
