School Programs

The Center's School Programs offer the ideal setting for children with differing needs to flourish. Sargent Center specializes in addressing physical, cognitive and medical needs of a diverse student population.  Our staff of professionals are specially trained to teach children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder, Brain Injury, Genetic Disorder(s), Developmental Disabilities, and Behavioral Health. The staff understands how these conditions impact learning and behavior.  Sargent's team of professionals have developed strategies and techniques that allow children to overcome the barriers that have traditionally restricted their success. The Center's strong family focused approach permits staff to work with the family to reinforce success  at home and in the community.

Enrollment at Sargent can be for a short term placement or longer. Some students are able to return to their community school following a short enrollment in a Sargent Center program . Sargent works closely with local school districts to ensure these students continue to receive the support they need. Other students join our programs at varying stages of their educational experience or remain with us until age 22.
